The carjackings happened about 20 minutes apart in Lincoln Park and Gold Coast.

Two people were carjacked Tuesday evening, about 20 minutes apart, in Lincoln Park and Gold Coast on the North Side.

In the first carjacking, a 57-year-old man was inside a vehicle about 6:15 p.m. in an alley in the 1400 block of North Dearborn Parkway when two men approached on either side of the vehicle, pulled out guns and demanded his keys, Chicago police said.

The two men then fled south on Dearborn in the vehicle.

In the second carjacking a 61-year-old man was inside a vehicle about 6:35 p.m. in an alley in the 2700 block of North Pinegrove Avenue, when three men approached on both sides of the vehicle, police said.

One man pulled out a gun and demanded belongings and the vehicle, police said. The group then fled north on Pinegrove Avenue in the vehicle, police said.
